Where business and research communities grow in tandem ...
Under the banner of “Growing in tandem”, the Bremen Technology Park has developed into one of Germany’s leading centres of high technology since its creation 20 years ago. Here you find big-names companies, like Siemens and OHB, working side-by-side with top-calibre research institutes, such as Max-Planck and Fraunhofer. More than 400 enterprises with a combined workforce of more than 6,000 work here on a site almost 170 hectares in size.
With a diversified sectoral mix comprising information and communication technologies, aerospace, logistics, materials, microsystem and production engineering, sensor technology and nanotechnology, a centre of high technology among the most successful of its kind has come into being around the city’s university. Beyond the university itself, world-class research is conducted here in more than 20 research facilities and institutes.
